LOOK: Charming cop eases tension in U.S. Embassy riot

Protesters

Worth reposting

Anti-U.S. activists clashed with riot police near the U.S. Embassy in Manila on Philippine-American Friendship Day, July 4.  Protesters from the League of Filipino Students (LFS) and other groups called for the junking of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) which paves the way for expanded military cooperation between the U.S. and the Philippines.  Protesters also called for the abolition of the pork barrel system.

Alaminos City home of the Hundred Islands

Bolo Beach Alaminos City Pangasinan

Bolo Beach is an alternative entry point going to the Hundred Islands National Park. With a community of warm welcoming and friendly people, you get to enjoy your visit to the beach and the national park without having to go under the hassle of booking, tour guides and a place to stay. You can find plenty of place to stay at Bolo Beach if you decide to stay overnight, a lot of guides and tour boats, fresh sea foods and nature. Worth to mention Bolo Hills Beach Club and Bamboo Paraiso of the Brothers: Gerry and Greg Lacuata wherein you can find a great place to stay at a reasonable price package.

The Hundred Islands National Park (Pangasinan: Kapulo-puloan or Taytay-Bakes) is a national park in the Republic of the Philippines. The protected area is located in the city of Alaminos, in the province of Pangasinan in northern Philippines. The islands, totaling 124 at low tide and 123 at high tide, are scattered in Lingayen Gulf covering an area of 16.76 square kilometres (6.47 sq mi). Only three of them have been developed for tourism: Governor Island, Quezon Island, and Children's Island. The Lucap wharf in Alaminos, the entrance to the National Park, is about 240 kilometres (150 mi) north of Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
