The Philippine flag fly proudly for the first time at NAVSUPPFAC DGAR Quarterdeck on June 14, 2014. It was indeed a significant Diego Garcia history moment that deeply touched the hearts of every Filipino on the island.
For the first time ever, the Diego Garcia Fire and Emergency Services is proud to participate in the 116th Philippine Independence Day Celebration.
From the Float to the Performers, our program is 100% Fire Department personnel, who did all the work building the Lion's Head Float and putting in many hours of dance practice. The experience has made us a stronger team and was a true bonding experience with many hours of laughter.
